working.jpg (27131 bytes)As promised I dug up a picture of me at work on MGs for the Horizonites site.

I look like hell, but hey I'm a mechanic that's what I'm supposed to look like.

To hell with me! Look a B and a TD. What more can you ask?

ow.jpg (31980 bytes)I found another picture of me on the drive.

This one is of me with the correct type of tool for removing rear MGB axles. It's a very big slide hammer. In this pic I'm demonstrating one of the many alternative uses for the tool when I'm not pulling rear axles with it. Hitting my web guy in the head for taking my picture while I was working on the yellow B, it easily has 1001 uses. The official part number is "AHH1-big-ass-hammer". As these are now NLA this is a functioning copy of the original tool. It's a spare castellated nut welded onto a big pipe, the pipe has a stop on the end and a big heavy weight that slides. Why beat with the thor hammer and ruin a brake drum, when this tool takes any axle out in 5 slides?
I've described the tool a bunch in posts on the BBS...now there's sort of a picture of it.

Found this cartoon a while ago - it seems appropriate to James somehow!

This web site is a combined effort and all contributions have been supplied by the people named on this site. All the bits are got together, chewed up, fiddled with and eventually published by Dai Pen-Mawr. It is copyright all of us and thieving bits off it isn't very nice and we would get all upset. Unless of course you put a great big eye catching link back to here next to the bits you nicked!
